Fuerteventura has a lot of variety in terms of kite spots and different conditions. I decided to start this trip up north on this beautiful island and move down south later on. Cotillo is a good place to base yourself if you prefer a tranquil location otherwise Coralejo will suit the outgoing person just fine.

One thing I always missed whilst being abroad was the Spanish lifestyle and the island life of the Canary Islands. I decided to go back to Fuerteventura on this road trip to see what's going on with kiteboarding and enjoy the island vibes. A couple of years ago I used to live in Tenerife a sister island located in the island chain of the Canary's. When ever I visited Fuerteventura I remember how stoked I was about riding here as well as being able to take little progression steps on every trip.

When the wind reached 10-15knots I was heading back to the beach to switch boards for my twin tip. It's such a blast to be out in the lightest breeze with your hydrofoil board and get into your freestyle as soon as the wind comes up. The 15m Turbine has never let me down here, I like it since it's a good/ stable light wind kite, relaunches easily and above all does freestyle.

After a 30h trip from Perth to Munich I found myself in south Germany's mountain scenery. During the last years I tried to spend at least 2 weeks annually at home but this time should be different. My partner is pregnant and while we're awaiting our son in August we'll be around for the hole period of time. I spend a week on the lookout for a camper van and luckily picked up the vehicle of our choice, a VW T4. After loading this bad boy with turbines, fuels, visions and moses foils we were ready for our next trip through Austria's mountains...

My time in Australia is slowly coming to an end after 3 years in WA - Western Australia. I'm stoked that I've found what I came for, great riding conditions balanced with a good life style. The professional opportunities were great and I was lucky enough to work as a project engineer for AFP during the day while performing as an athlete in the afternoon. Big shout out to everyone at AFP for taking a chance in me and the woodies crew for all the good times!

After I got back from our trip to Indonesia I was getting ready for the season in Perth. Since I was happy with the outcome of ROAM I was certainly motivated to work on the next freestyle project during the next months. I felt good about my riding at the start of the season yet one thing was holding me back...

I'm happy and stoked to give you a little video from our trip to Indonesia with Daniel Patterson and Marion Schweizer. We've been lucky with the conditions as we've kited and surfed almost every day. More importantly the locals have welcomed us with opened arms which made our trip a very remarkable one. Unfortunately Indonesia is not as developed as the rest of the world. My friend Bastien once said "with great freedom comes great responsibility" and he was referring to traveling. Make sure you travel responsibly and pay respect to the local community. Having money means noting it's all about respect and passing your knowledge on to the people in need. Enjoy!

I recently left on a surf trip to the islands of Indonesia. My friend Daniel scored good conditions in September last year so we teamed up for another trip. This time of the year you can get solid winds and late winter swells traveling up the coast of Australia and finally hitting somewhere in Indo. While exploring the islands we had a 3 week window for the swell to arrive and to get to know the Indonesian culture. The locals have welcomed us with much care, heaps of smiles and in return we could only give them all our respect.
