travelling Australia

These are the first days of our one year trip to Australia. I’ve always wanted to come here for its well-known riding conditions in both, freestyle and waves.  We’re staying in Margarete River, where my friends place is situated and later we are moving to Perth.

I’m going to update the blog as always and for this reason I want to invite you to follow me on this adventure and beyond!

Cruising at Moonlake

After a save journey to Germany and catching up with family and friends we decided to take a trip to the Moonlake (Mondsee). This is the place where I started kiting 5 years ago and learned my first railey.

Most mountain lakes around Salzburg are thermic spots and deliver wind in certain conditions. The wind works particularly good in spring and autumn when the temperature differences between night and day.

I remembered how hard it was to get descent conditions when I started kiting and also how bad I needed to be out there. I guess this is what made me live at the sea and travel the world chasing the wind.

I just enjoyed a simple strapless ride today, cruising up and down with the X-19 while listening to some guitar music. I’ll always come back here for these special conditions.

Leaving Africa

After 6 months in South Africa the time for us has come to carry on. It was the first time for me in the cape area and I really enjoyed it.

The season was very productive with Surfstore Africa and everybody was happy, clients, my boss and finally ourselves. Due to the endless possibilities of kite-surfing in South Africa we were able to push the promotion work for my sponsors to a whole new level.

 I can say that we are leaving the country with so much that was giving to us, new friends, sick riding and all the productivity along the way.
