After spending a week on Fuerteventuras north shore I was heading south to the area of Jandia. Costa Calma is where the wind and kitesurfing world cup is held each year (VKWC) and lies on a 7 km beach stretch with offshore winds. It's handy to have your tide table near since most of the beaches get flooded on high tide, forming butter flat and rippable lagoons.

Depending on the daily conditions the winds can be quite fierce and it's worth exploring the area to find your own little beach stretch with smooth winds. I ended up staying a few km down the coast and hanging out with the guys at Club Mistral. Big shout to the crew at Club Mistral for keeping that awesome spirit up! What a beautiful and peaceful place this is with awesome people and only kiteboarding to focus on.
